We are seeking interns to help generate awareness
of our titles and drive traffic to our online
catalogue.
Ideal candidates must be:
* voracious fiction readers
* active daily users of Facebook, Visual Bookshelf,
Goodreads, and LibraryThing
* competent time managers
* punctual and reliable
Having your own book blog is a plus.
Your duties will include:
* reading our books
* posting reviews of them on your blogs, Visual
Bookshelf, Goodreads, LibraryThing, etc.
* engaging in Readers’ forums and discussions,
spreading the word of our titles
* participating in our discussions on Facebook
and Goodreads
* checking in punctually, without fail, once
a week, to report the results of your week's
work
* making suggestions about what else you can
do to promote our titles
This is an unpaid internship but you will have
a creative voice and your opinion will matter.
You will help unique, witty, timely novels to
find their readers and connect with them. You
will also have an opportunity to learn a few
things about publishing, editing, and book production;
to interact with authors while promoting their
books; to build up your resume with hands-on
editorial work; and to receive a reference for
your future job search in publishing.
This is a telecommuting, part-time internship:
you can make your own hours and report on your
accomplishments once a week. The weekly check-in
is mandatory.
NOTE: If you need an academic credit, please
check with your school before contacting us,
as some do not approve telecommuting academic
internships.
