We are seeking interns to help generate awareness of our titles and drive traffic to our online catalogue.

Ideal candidates must be:

* voracious fiction readers
* active daily users of Facebook, Visual Bookshelf, Goodreads, and LibraryThing
* competent time managers
* punctual and reliable

Having your own book blog is a plus.

Your duties will include:

* reading our books
* posting reviews of them on your blogs, Visual Bookshelf, Goodreads, LibraryThing, etc.
* engaging in Readers’ forums and discussions, spreading the word of our titles
* participating in our discussions on Facebook and Goodreads
* checking in punctually, without fail, once a week, to report the results of your week's work
* making suggestions about what else you can do to promote our titles

This is an unpaid internship but you will have a creative voice and your opinion will matter. You will help unique, witty, timely novels to find their readers and connect with them. You will also have an opportunity to learn a few things about publishing, editing, and book production; to interact with authors while promoting their books; to build up your resume with hands-on editorial work; and to receive a reference for your future job search in publishing.

This is a telecommuting, part-time internship: you can make your own hours and report on your accomplishments once a week. The weekly check-in is mandatory.

NOTE: If you need an academic credit, please check with your school before contacting us, as some do not approve telecommuting academic internships.

Before applying for internship with us, watch this movie:

Not just the trailer: the whole movie. It's a mediocre comedy at best, but it will give you an excellent primer on the state of publishing today. You can get it streaming from Netflix.

To apply, please e-mail a cover letter and a brief (1–3 paragraphs) essay explaining why you are interested to

with the word "internship" in the subject line.
