What does ENC Press Affiliate Program offer referrers?

The ENC Press Affiliate Program offers referrers the chance to earn 10% commission on sales of ENC Press books that can be traced to the referrer’s site. Anyone who likes books and is willing to promote ENC Press’s titles can become a referrer, just by putting a link to one or more of our books on their Web site. If someone follows that link and buys a book from ENCPress.com as a result, the referrer will make 10% of the price advertised on ENCPress.com.

Does one have to pay to become an ENC Press affiliate?

No, there are no setup charges: it’s completely free.

How long does it take to become an affiliate?

As long as it takes you to post on your site a .gif image and a short blurb of an ENC Press title or titles you choose to promote. We’ll supply the image(s) and the blurb(s) in an e-mail officially confirming your acceptance into the ENC Press Affiliate Program.

What kinds of sites will you approve?

ENC Press wants to promote interest in fresh, original novels that contain elements of social and political satire or commentary, offer unusual insights into foreign cultures, have a strong element of humor, and tip a few sacred cows along the way. Because small, independent publishers can’t afford to play on the same terms as the mammoth presses, we’re looking for like-minded Web sites that will help us attain this goal. There are some sites that we won’t approve for the program, including those that promote any illegal activities, including but not limited to software piracy or other copyright violations; sites that are under construction, which are welcome to try us again when their construction is completed; and “banner farms,” sites that exist for the sole purpose of spamming the Internet with dozens of ads. If your site is a valid Web site with real, useful information for your readers, we’ll be happy to work with you.

How can I tell if I have sold anything through the ENC Press Affiliate Program?

We’ll be glad to provide the stats for the number of hits and actual sales that come from your site, on demand but not more often than once a month. Unfortunately, we have not yet come across a practicable way for an affiliate to be able to track sales automatically, but our interest in selling as many copies of our books as possible coincide with yours, so we are fully vested in keeping this arrangement as financially appealing to you as we can.
