JEFFREY DeREGO is a full-time writer.
His Union Dues stories have already generated a
base of over 1 million fans and have gained critical
acclaim among the independent science-fiction and
comic literary community. Jeffrey sold his first
short story, “Freedom
Smells Like Red Wine Vinegar,”
to Lost Worlds in 1996. “Iron
Bars and the Glass Jaw”
was published in November of 2005. The reception
of the story was overwhelmingly positive, with that
story voted “Favorite
of 2005” by Escape
Pod listeners.
Since then Jeffrey has sold fifteen Union Dues
stories in the podcast science fiction market. Additionally,
his short horror stories set three years after the
Zombie Apocalypse have won two “Best
Of” prizes at
Tales of the Zombie War magazine.
His work has also appeared in Flashquake and
in the anthology Live Free or Undead. Jeffrey
has been twice nominated for the New England Small
Press Association Award, and twice for the Parsec
Award.
Jeffrey lives in Derry, New Hampshire, with his
wife, Cindy, and their two children, Ian and Margaret.
